The brief
Michael Wallace was my Business English lecturer at Budapest Metropolitan University. For the final presentation in his course I chose to analyse his own website. He liked the findings enough to ask me to redesign it.
The site had to carry two different sides of his work: his art, and his consultancy as a speaker, lecturer and hot spring medical spa and wellness expert.
What I did
I started in late October 2023 with fixes to the existing site: SSL, speed and broken links. The redesign itself followed in January 2024, built on WordPress with the Essentials theme.
The new site has two distinct sections. The art pages show his work as an artist. The consultancy pages present his speaking, lecturing and spa expertise, including his book "The Spa Manager's Essential Guide".
I prepared the landing visual and a set of geothermal-themed background images for the site. The project was completed on 3 February 2024, with a round of corrections over the following two weeks.
The result
The site went live in February 2024 and I kept maintaining it until January 2026: updating the post list, cover images, social links and a new testimonial. In March 2026 he referred a consultancy firm to me for a similar site.
